First Generation To Dream
When COVID shut the world down, a different kind of lockdown was beginning for the children of Triveni Nagar, Jaipur – a lockdown of opportunity. Their schools forgot them. The world moved online. They had nothing.
So we started. A small room. A single purpose. One by one, they came.
Today, 400+ children call us their second home. Three batches have graduated. Engineers. Scientists. Artists. Entrepreneurs. Doers. Children with no desks now have futures.
Behind them stand 21 teachers who brave monsoon floods, winter chill, and Jaipur’s brutal summer heat – because these children have no one else. Alongside them are 12 mentors who lead our extracurricular programs, believing that a child’s first stage, first canvas, or first beatbox could be their first step toward a new life.
Most of our children are first-generation learners – the first in their families to hold a pencil, open a textbook, or dream beyond the neighbourhood. Their parents are daily wage workers, migrants who left their villages for a city that often forgets them. These children are not just learning for themselves. They are lifting entire families.
Our STEAM classes bring subjects to life. Integrated learning means no subject stands alone. A robotics project teaches physics, math, and coding together. A science lesson becomes an art project. A design problem becomes an entrepreneurship pitch. Our Robotics Club builds machines from scrap – because innovation does not need a big budget. It needs big thinking.
And then there is joy. Our children dance contemporary ballet and Kathak, finding discipline and expression in every step. They find their voice through theatre, rap, and beatboxing – turning pain into poetry, silence into sound. They discover the world through French, art awareness, and design. They learn that a child from a slum can speak another language, can command a stage, can code a robot, can dream in colour.
This is not a school. This is a child learning to trust her voice. A dream that refused to die.
OUR VISION
Education should not be a ticket to a job. It should be a weapon against injustice. A tool to solve problems. A fire that turns a child into a leader, a dreamer, a doer.
We do not want degree-holders. We want problem-solvers. Citizens who see a broken system and refuse to look away. Who lift their families, rebuild their communities, and dare to change their nation.
We want children from underserved communities to become the ones who heal the world – with ethics, with innovation, with courage.
That is the future we are building. Not graduates. Generational change-makers.
OUR MISSION
A child’s future should not be decided by their address. We give equitable, skill-integrated education to those who need it most – because opportunity is a right, not a reward.
No more memorising for exams that mean nothing. We create classrooms where math solves real problems, where science cleans a local river, where economics builds a small business. Learning that lives.
We do not want obedient students. We want leaders with spine. Children who act not because someone told them to, but because their conscience demands it.
Critical thinking. Collaboration. STEM. Emotional intelligence. An entrepreneurial mindset. These are not buzzwords. They are the tools for a future no one promised them.
One child educated lifts a family. One family lifts a neighbourhood. One neighbourhood breaks a cycle that has lasted generations. That is not a ripple. That is a movement.

WHAT IT MEANS TO US
Founder, IWI
To me, empowering children as the founder of Indian Women Impact means breaking the cycle of limitation before it ever begins. It means looking a child in the eye and saying, "Your voice matters, your safety is non-negotiable, and your dreams are never too bold for this world." It means building classrooms where girls learn to lead, boys learn to listen, and every child walks away knowing that respect is not a favor but a right. Empowerment is not a workshop or a slogan — it is the daily, relentless work of rewriting futures. Because when you raise a child who knows their own power, you don't just change one life. You ignite a family, a community, an entire generation. That is what I wake up fighting for every single day.
CEO
As a doctor, believing in children's education is not separate from believing in their health — it is the same prescription. I have seen fevers break and wounds heal, but nothing cures generational poverty faster than a girl who can read. No vaccine prevents exploitation like a classroom that teaches a child her own worth. The stunting of dreams is a disease I refuse to call inevitable. I did not take an oath to heal only bodies; I took an oath to fight everything that makes a child small. An educated child is the only cure that heals forward — for generations to come.
Director Primary Years Programmes
This work allows me to enjoy the biggest freedom of all, the freedom to dream, beyond the limitations imposed by time, space and societal conditions as well as conditioning. It is an opportunity to put constitutional values in practice and hope for a country where we care about each other more than we have been taught to fear each other.
Most importantly, it is a space to do what is pure joy for me - learn with other human beings and hold space for our collective concerns, curiosities and confusions.

"Real learning begins where the textbook ends."
To me, education has always been about more than just completing a syllabus. It’s about the spark of curiosity in a student's eyes when they solve a problem using their own logic rather than a memorized formula. At IWI, our students are the heartbeat of everything we do. We don't just teach; we explore. We prioritize experiential learning because we believe that true knowledge is gained through doing, questioning, and thinking critically. My commitment is to ensure that every child who walks through our doors leaves not just with a certificate, but with the character and confidence to navigate the real world. We aren't just building careers here we are nurturing the thinkers of tomorrow. With hope and dedication
